We have just finished up with our school work in California. We sold all our furniture, our car and other ’stuff. We shipped everything else in boxes to Arkansas, packed up our duffel bags and flew off to north Idaho to visit Shorel’s family.
We spent three weeks having a rich visit with family and friends, including celebrating Shorel’s 29th birthday (which was on July 4th– he’s still a ‘young yankee-doodle whippersnapper’). The fourth week was spent with Shorel’s best friend down on a wheat farm in northeast Oregon.
Following that, we flew down to Texas. We visited Dallas to attend the wedding of a good friend. We were pretty worn out by the end of that excursion.
On Saturday, after the wedding, we drove from Dallas to Crossett, Arkansas, where we will spend the next month with Sandra’s family. We’ve been having a great time. Today, we picked and shelled black-eyed peas with Sandra’s mother and grandparents all morning!
