Yesterday, Schäfer and I heard a loud engine. We rushed to the window to see a huge dump truck filled with rocks driving down the road. When the truck turned the corner, Schäfer turned to me and said, “More dump truck! More dump truck!” He was even signing “more” for additional emphasis.

While attending grad school, I (Shorel) took some courses in language acquisition. What I found fascinating is how the first several years are instrumental in a child’s language development.

It’s been almost 3 months since The Buzz. This time around, Schäfer got the old trim-around-the-ears-and-neck.
He is fully into his 18-month-self because milk was absolutely not a diversion.
Snacks offered little assistance.
He knew something was going on.
